I could have given this camera five stars if the battery were removable. Otherwise, awesome camera, with this Play Sports, the company has consolidated video camera housing so it can withstand drops up to 3.6 meters, and it is so watertight as ever, with the ability to shoot up to 10-feet deep. Video quality is also improved and now competes more closely with non-rugged pocket video camera competitors. A few things missing, like a headphone jack, integrated storage and a built-in USB connector, but if you want to shoot video outdoors on the beach or anywhere there is water, the Kodak Playsport ZX5 a top choice.

Autofocus capabilty Love it, waterproof, dustproof, drop-proof, expandable storage and very easy to work with. I love the media sharing capablities but I really do not need that. That I do not like is that the battery is not removable, so you MUST keep the battery charged which is almost a deal breaker for me. Interanl stoarge is only 128 MB of RAM, so at this price, I think it should have came with more. Overall this is an excellent camera. Very well done, it can take some bumps, drops, spills, and it shoots under water. Satisfied with the video quality, easy connectivity to your computer (PC and Mac). I have read other reviews, and agree, this camera has its limitations, in particular, the permanent battery issue. But, so far, the camera had good battery life, and we have had no problems with running out of power. Quickly charges as well.

But I think some people forget what it really is, and how well it works. This is a great handheld video camera, which you can literally drop in the family pool, swim down and get and it is still running very well.

You have several options on the video modes such as underwater mode, and you can record at different levels, 720p, 1080p, etc.

The overall functionality, robust construction and ease of use are outstanding. I see it used all summer by the pool or even playing time in the bath for those with small kids.

I recommend this product!
